Kūkupa Matairangi (Lookout of the Native Pigeon) – Glamping with a View
Escape to the hills above Akaroa Harbour and enjoy a 360 degrees stunning views, privacy, and comfort at Kūkupa Matairangi.
This purpose-built glamping experience features locally milled timber, a private outdoor hot tub, indoor fireplace, shower, flush toilet, cooking facilities, BBQ, picnic table, and fire pit (fire restrictions may apply). Powered by solar, it includes Wi-Fi, Chromecast, projector and cell reception.
Reach your destination via a 20-minute scenic walk through lavender fields, sustainable forest and rolling pasture. Luggage transport is provided, and ride assistance is available if needed.
For two night stays we include complimentary wine, local cheese, and platter. For all stays enjoy complimentary coffee (Nespresso and instant), your choice of real tea and our world famous Lavenade.

Lavender Cottage – A Peaceful Stay on a Working Lavender Farm
Set on a hillside overlooking Akaroa Harbour, Lavender Cottage offers stunning views and easy access—just 15 minutes to Akaroa and 5 minutes to the golf course.
Built with timber from the property, the cottage features a full kitchen, fibre Wi-Fi, Chromecast, and cell reception.
Guests can explore bush tracks, lavender fields (in season), and conservation land by foot or mountain bike.
Enjoy outdoor living with a picnic table, BBQ, and a winter outdoor bathtub (conditions apply).

Akaroa Lavender Farm Experiences
Arataki Lavender – For all ages! | 1 hour | Explore our Lavender Fields from late November to mid-February.
Arataki Conservation – 2 hours | Experience a two-hour guided tour of the conservation aspects of the farm from March to October.
All experiences include a chance to sample our world famous Lavenade and to purchase our lavender products.
For experiences over one hour we include a “Kiwi as” complimentary morning or afternoon tea.
We speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Malay.
