Weta Workshop Experience
Dive head-first into a world of movie magic in Wellington, New Zealand, and journey through the creative design and physical effects facility, Weta Workshop, with a guided round trip.
From The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit to Avatar and District 9: learn about the making of props, costumes and creatures created for your favourite films. Interact with cool stuff from our creative departments and, if you’re lucky, catch an artist at work on our tour stage.
You’ll experience a sense of childhood wonder, reaching back to a time when you created your own worlds and let your imagination run wild!
In addition, we also include the option for a return transfer from Wellington i-SITE in the city centre to the Weta Workshop Experience in Miramar. Our knowledgeable driver will highlight and talk about the iconic film sites of Wellington – a UNESCO City Of Film – as you journey across the city.
