Group Accommodation Napier
Omatua boasts accommodation for up to 47 guests across 10 cosy bedrooms.
Bedroom layouts:
- 4 x Queen bedrooms (one with ensuite and a king single in an adjoining bedroom)
- 1 bedroom contains 8 x king single beds.
- 5 x ‘Family rooms’ with 1 x Queen bed and 4 x king single beds
Omatua features convenient facilities, including 2 shared bathrooms with a total of 5 showers and 5 toilets, divided into ‘ladies’ and ‘gents’. Additionally, there’s one separate bathroom in the Riddell Lodge Hall, equipped with 2 toilets and a shower, along with an ensuite in one of the bedrooms comprising a basin, toilet, and shower.
Omatua also offers two spacious separate halls/living areas. One is a recently furnished dining area adjacent to the fully equipped commercial kitchen, accommodating over 60 guests comfortably next to a cosy fireplace, complemented by large bay windows overlooking the river. The second area is a sizable hall ideal for seating large groups of over 100 people.
Outdoor living is embraced across 5 acres of expansive gardens adorned with both native and exotic trees.
There is also plenty of camping space available year round.
Napier Wedding Venue
Omatua stands as an ideal all-weather venue, boasting expansive gardens that offer numerous options for wedding ceremonies and ample opportunities for stunning photographs during the summer. Alternatively, couples can opt for an intimate fireside winter wedding in the cosy ‘Von Dadelzen’ room.
The property and its buildings are fully wheelchair accessible and feature a well-equipped commercial kitchen, toilet facilities, and accommodations for up to 47 guests, along with ample space for camping.
The indoor venue, ‘Riddell Lodge,’ comfortably seats up to 120 guests or accommodates 200 standing for a cocktail-style event. Additionally, we offer a smaller, more intimate setting in the dining room, perfect for seating 60-80 guests beside a charming fireplace.
For those desiring a marquee-style wedding, our venue is well-equipped to accommodate such arrangements. We collaborate with the local company ‘Flagship Events’ to offer a variety of packages, including marquee setup, lighting, assembly and disassembly, dance floor, and any additional hire items needed, ensuring a beautiful outdoor wedding setup.
