Can I stay overnight at Siberia Hut?
Yes. You can extend your adventure with an overnight stay at the Department of Conservation’s Siberia Hut. Hut beds operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s recommended you contact Southern Alps Air before making your plans.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, water and a camera. Mountain weather can change quickly, so it’s best to dress in layers.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Advance bookings are highly recommended, particularly during the summer season and school holidays, to secure your preferred departure time.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable?
Flights are weather dependent. If conditions are unsuitable for flying, Southern Alps Air will contact you to discuss rescheduling or the available options.
