Waterfront Cabins, sleeps up to 6 people
Our 8 waterfront cabins/whare (Te Reo Maori for “house”) are each named for a local bird, insect, plant or fish and have their own ensuite and comfortable lounge and dining area. The bedroom has two double beds and two single beds in bunk form to accommodate up to six people. You have the option of supplying your own linen or we can provide this to the rooms for a fee. There is one paraplegic whare available. Our whare all have solar powered water heating and heat pumps for heating or cooling the rooms to ensure your comfort all year round.
Vogel Cottage, Sleeps up to 6 people
Fully renovated Vogel Cottage is a lovely self-contained cottage nestled amongst native bush with spectacular views over the bay and is ideal for family and friend holidaying. Features two bedrooms, one containing a queen bed, the other has four single bunks. You have the option of supplying your own linen or we can provide this to the rooms for a fee. The lounge and dining area have a sofa, bean bags and a six-seater dining table. A full kitchen ensures that you can self-cater, and you are welcome to utilise our BBQ area. You’ll be cosy in the cooler months with the log burner. Consider this for Queen Charlotte Track accommodation.
Camping & Campervan Sites
Spacious, family friendly camping. Mistletoe Bay Eco Village offers a relaxed, family friendly camping experience. Over 40 unpowered camp sites are spread out over 3 large separate camping areas providing you with the option of privacy or the opportunity to interact with other groups. We have plenty of room for both tents and campervans.

- Commercial Kitchen – Exclusive for cabin/whare guests, fully equipped for up to 48 people, ideal for large group catering.
- Camp Kitchen – Spacious kitchen with stoves, microwaves, toasters, fridges, and a log burner for chilly days.
- Camping – Forty non-powered sites for tents and campervans.
- BBQ – Four-burner gas BBQ conveniently located outside the camp kitchen.
- Boat Mooring – One four-ton mooring available for watercraft up to 10 metres ($20/day). Book via phone or email.
- Phone Coverage – Limited mobile reception on site.
- Washing Machine – $10 per load; available at reception.
- Shop/Cafe – The shop is now open for coffee, hot drinks, ice blocks, and basic food supplies (gluten free is available).
PLEASE NOTE: There is no on-site power. We are situated on DOC land; therefore, dogs and pets are not permitted on the property.
NO RUBBISH POLICY – Mistletoe Bay Eco Village has a policy of no rubbish being left at the site. All guests and visitors need to take everything out with them that they bring in.

Mistletoe Bay is at the head of Onahau Bay in Queen Charlotte Sound, at the top of the South Island. Our nearest transport hubs are Picton (1 hour drive), Havelock (45 minute drive) and Blenheim, which are easily reached from all over New Zealand.
