Accommodation Arthurs Pass
While staying at Jacksons Retreat mix with other guests in the large central communal space which incorporates fully equipped kitchens and dining areas, comfortable lounge chairs and sofas which are ideally positioned to take advantage of the views and the warmth and ambience of the log fire in winter.
Modern bathroom facilities with clean, modern showers are a delight, and the shower and toilet areas are heated in the winter for your comfort.
Other facilities include coin operated laundry, clothes lines and pegs, dump station, highchair, as well as a BBQ. A small pantry shop is located at the office.
We also have a wood-fired hot tub for hire (pre-booking required).
Arriving by car or need a night out of your Motor Home choose from one our cosy cabins “Kiwi Cabin” sleeps up to two people in a Queen bed with linen & toiletries supplied, our “Moa Cabin”, sleeps up to 4 guests complete with a Queen size bed + 2x Single bunk beds, again linen & toiletries are included, your tariff for both options include full use of the Park amenities & facilities, plus you have your own private picnic area and stunning view of the Southern Alps and the Mighty Taramakau River.
The Deluxe Cabins, Aaka and Kakarika, provide a cosy and private retreat, ideal for couples or solo travellers seeking comfort and relaxation. Each cabin features a queen-sized bed, coffee, tea, and breakfast-making facilities, as well as a Smart TV for your entertainment. Enjoy the convenience of a BBQ for outdoor dining, set against the stunning backdrop of Jackson’s Retreat.
Guests have access to a communal bathroom for their use. For an added touch of indulgence, a private hot tub is available as an optional extra.
We have a lot of cabins available for booking, all with:

Each Wilderness Cabin offers a cosy, well-equipped stay with minor differences to suit your needs. The Moa Cabin includes a queen bed with a single bunk, while the Kiwi Cabin has a queen bed with dining space. Both cabins come with all bedding, linens, and toiletries, plus heating and electric blankets for cooler nights. Outside, enjoy a private picnic area and ample parking, with the Kiwi Cabin also offering a grassy spot perfect for pitching an extra tent.
“The Barn” is a spacious 3-bedroom, fully self-contained, two-level apartment that comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. Upstairs, you’ll find a queen bed in Bedroom 1, a double bunk duo plus a single bed in Bedroom 2, and a queen bed with an additional single in Bedroom 3. All bedding, linens, and toiletries are provided, with electric blankets on queen beds and hot water bottles for the others. The Barn features a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, along with a generous dining and lounge area complete with a cosy log fire. Outside, there’s ample parking for motorhomes, caravans, or tents, as well as a double garage for secure storage. Whether you’re staying for two nights or many, it’s a fantastic choice for couples, families, or groups. Relax and take in the panoramic views from your private deck, which also includes a 64″ smart TV, gas fireplace, and fenced yard. Pet-friendly.
