Built in 1861, Eliza’s Manor, is conveniently located on Bealey Avenue, a stone’s throw from some of Christchurch City’s beautiful attractions. Eliza’s Manor is about 10 km from Christchurch International Airport and 7 km from Christchurch Railway Station. Hagley Park and Golf Course is a 20-minute walk away.

Whether you are looking for a venue for a boutique wedding, a birthday party, a special celebration or conference facilities, we will ensure your event runs smoothly.
We have the capacity to accommodate up to 70 people in our restaurant for dinner or 80 people for a cocktail function, plus we have space within the bar lounge area. Our eight bedrooms allow your guests to revel in the atmosphere and stay all night. We treat every function individually, understanding that everyone has different requirements and ideas. Dining at Eliza’s Manor
The Butcher & The Bees experience starts from the moment you walk in the door. Come long before your dinner reservation and soak up the atmosphere with a drink in our bar overlooking the courtyard. Or take a moment to relax on the couch in our foyer by the fire. Our restaurant combines the best cuts of locally sourced and sustainably raised meat with sweet and delicious honey from our very own bee hives. Every bite is sure to be a delight, with micro-herbs, vegetables and edible plants straight from our garden. Open Monday – Sunday 5.30pm – late.
Al Fresco Dining – Courtyard
Our Central Christchurch courtyard is open daily from 8am for coffee, brunch and breakfast cocktails. From 11.00am, our courtyard is open for high tea.
Our courtyard is also dog friendly – we have water bowls and treats available.
High Tea
Eliza’s Manor offers the perfect setting for an authentic High Tea and has the reputation to go with it. Relax with friends in our beautiful restaurant.
Our High Teas spare no detail, and include:
- Warm scones with strawberry jam and chantilly cream
- 3 tiered platter with sandwiches, savouries and sweet treats prepared by our talented chef.
- Bottomless Harney & Sons tea and Allpress filter coffee
- A central location and complimentary off-street parking
- High tea for your little ones upon request
Served Sunday to Friday from 11am – 5pm and Saturday 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm, or by prior arrangement
