Dive the Rainbow Warrior Wreck
Experience one of New Zealand’s most iconic wreck dives. Resting beneath the waters of the Cavalli Islands, the Rainbow Warrior has become an incredible artificial reef teeming with colourful marine life.
Paihia Dive has been guiding divers to the Rainbow Warrior since 1987 and has more experience diving this world-renowned wreck than any other operator. Our fast dive boat gets you to the site in around 10 minutes, giving you more time to enjoy your underwater adventure.
Paihia Dive was present when the Rainbow Warrior was deliberately sunk at Matauri Bay in 1987 and has been operating dive trips to the wreck ever since.

Explore another of New Zealand’s premier wreck dives at the HMNZS Canterbury in Deep Water Cove.
As an official operator, Paihia Dive offers guided trips to this impressive 114-metre shipwreck, now home to abundant marine life. Sheltered waters and excellent visibility make this one of the Bay of Islands’ most popular dive sites.
