Central Otago Wine Tasting in One Location

Central Otago is internationally recognised for its wine, particularly Pinot Noir, but the region produces much more than one variety.

At The Cork & Cap, visitors can experience wines from a selection of Central Otago producers without having to travel between individual vineyards and cellar doors. This is particularly valuable because many of the wineries represented do not have their own cellar doors, giving visitors the chance to discover wines that may otherwise be difficult to taste locally.

With 21 wines available for tasting, guests can select the individual wines that interest them rather than choosing from a predetermined tasting flight.

The range showcases producers from different parts of Central Otago, providing an opportunity to compare wines, discover different styles and learn more about the people and places behind each bottle.

Discover Central Otago Wine Producers

The Cork & Cap brings together wines from a diverse selection of producers across Central Otago, including smaller wineries that visitors may not be able to experience through a traditional cellar door visit.

Producers represented include Brennan Wines, Quartz Reef, Moko Hills, Pisa Range Estate, Māori Point Wines, Penkridge Farm, Stewart Town Vineyard, Wiese, Ariosa, Folding Hill, Doctors Flat and Auchenrivock.

The selection provides an excellent opportunity for visitors with limited time in Central Otago to discover a broader range of local producers in one convenient Cromwell location.

Pinot Noir, Sparkling & Central Otago Wine Varieties

Central Otago may be famous for Pinot Noir, but The Cork & Cap’s selection extends across a diverse range of wine styles.

Depending on the current selection, guests can discover Pinot Noir, sparkling wine, Blanc de Noir, Tempranillo, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay and other aromatic varieties, with wines available for tasting, by the glass or by the bottle.

The selection allows visitors to compare different varieties and producers while discovering more about Central Otago’s distinctive wine-growing areas.

Choose Your Own Central Otago Wine Tasting

At The Cork & Cap, wine tasting isn’t limited to a predetermined flight. With 21 wines available for tasting, guests can choose which wines they would like to try and create a tasting experience around their own interests.
