Te Awanga Accommodation – Relax in the Heart of Hawke’s Bay
Designed with a focus on relaxation, the newly renovated Te Awanga Cottages boast an exquisite architectural layout that offers captivating vistas of the rolling hills and coastline.
Each cottage is luxuriously furnished, featuring an indulgent interior complete with an outdoor-viewing bath and front/back decks to bask in the morning and evening sunlight.
Whether you seek a serene getaway, a venue for celebrations, or a special haven after a day of exploring or business, these cottages provide the ideal setting to relish the sunrise and sunset over the picturesque Hawke’s Bay property.
Named Awa and Moana, each cottage comfortably accommodates two guests, offering a choice between a king-sized bed or two long-single beds. Additionally, a roll-away slat bed is available for a third person upon request (for an extra fee).

Nestled on the outskirts of Te Awanga village, the cottages conveniently sit adjacent to the Hawke’s Bay “Landscapes Trail,” inviting you to embark on a refreshing morning stroll through the village to the ocean or wander through scenic farmland towards the Cape, possibly stopping for a cosy time at Clifton Bay Café.
For those eager to explore, we offer bike rentals, including E-bikes and standard bikes, allowing you to discover our vibrant local community and visit three renowned wineries within a 2.5km radius of our cottages. E-bike enthusiasts can venture even farther along the extensive trails of Hawke’s Bay.
Te Awanga and Haumoana exude an artistic flair with roadside galleries to explore, while a scenic 15–20-minute drive leads to the Art Deco charm of Napier, trendy Havelock North, or vibrant Hastings, boasting a weekly Farmers Market showcasing local Hawke’s Bay produce.
