Deep Water Cove – Top Snorkelling Spot in Paihia
Our trips usually visit two incredible spots, with the main focus in the no take zone of Deep Water Cove. Enjoy crystal-clear waters, abundant marine life, and surprising encounters as cheeky fish explore around you. Swim through a massive archway and admire stunning underwater scenery.
Even in warm waters, we provide wetsuits so you can stay in the water longer, plus a hot water rinse and a cup of soup to warm up afterward.
Most of the journey is in sheltered, protected waters, offering fantastic scenery along the way while keeping travel comfortable for all. Experienced snorkellers rave that our trips are world-class — on par with the Poor Knights Islands in New Zealand.

Our Boat – Pelorus Belle
Our stable 8-metre catamaran, Pelorus Belle, was upgraded in 2019 with a fold-down platform for safe and easy water entry. After snorkelling, enjoy a hot freshwater rinse.
The boat features:

- Open deck with unobstructed views
With space for only 12 passengers, there’s no restriction on seating, and everyone enjoys comfort and freedom on board.
We’re committed to the environment, re-powering Pelorus Belle with modern Yamaha 225HP engines for efficiency and low carbon impact. Originally a crayfishing and charter vessel, Pelorus Belle is now perfect for snorkelling adventures.
