We are one of a small few who are authorised by DOC (Department of Conservation) as a licensed operator on the Whanganui River.
We are the closest operator to the start of the Whanganui River journeys, based in Owhango.
We have qualified Cultural Navigators waiting to share their homelands and their stories as you traverse the Whanganui River and all its uniqueness it has to offer. Transport is provided to and from the Whanganui River.

Our guided canoe trips are suited to large groups, company retreats or team building events as well as the first timer in a Canadian Canoe.
We also offer canoe accommodation and transport to and from the Whanganui River.
If required Owhango Lodge has a fully licensed bar for you to enjoy. We also have a cafe that operates from 8am – 4 pm daily. Our lodge is self-catering, bring your own food and sleeping gear, access to shared facilities in the Lodge and Hotel.
