Te Puke, one hours 30 minutes’ drive south of Tauranga, a quiet country town famous for its kiwifruit and citrus orchards, dairy farms and honey producers. Te Puke has a range of antique shops, restaurants and craft galleries that bring visitors a rich experience.
The scenery around Te Puke is stunning and can be enjoyed through bush walks, guided tours and scenic helicopter flights. Kiwifruit and honey-themed attractions are popular. A vintage auto museum is one of the attractions of the district.
Te Puke is only 15 minutes’ drive from Papamoa Beach, nearMount Maunganui. From here, tourists can swim, surf, sail and participate in scubadiving and boat charter trips.
