Visit award winning “Boutique Vineyards”, historic landmarks and scenic spots nestled in the Waitaki Valley located in North Otago departing from Oamaru.
Tours are small and intimate with a max of 6 people. (Larger groups can be accommodated. Please make contact to discuss).
As these are boutique vineyards you will get the opportunity to get up close with the people behind the labels and share their passion and stories.

If you love wine or just discovering wine, it is my pleasure to guide you through the Waitaki Valley Wine Region. Limestone rich terroir (land), provides us with beautiful + amazing limestone architecture, geology and tasteful wine. The scenery is stunning + dramatic. Let me show you around, share the history, visit boutique vineyards, meet the people + taste their wine. Small group tours (max 6 people), although larger groups can be accomodated. Every Tour is led by myself, a knowledgable + passionate guide of this area.
PLEASE NOTE: During the months of June, July & August Tours require a minimum of 6 people to proceed.

“RUSTIC RAMBLE” WINE TOUR
Ideal for individuals or small groups
Tour includes:
- NZ$160.00 per person – min 2/max 6 adults per Tour
- Tour departs from Oamaru at 10am
- Complimentary pick-up/drop-off within Oamaru
- Tastings & Light lunch included (please advise of any food allergies)
- Water/Tea/Coffee available all day
- Full day Tour – allow 5hrs

COMBO TOUR
JET BOATING/”RUSTIC RAMBLE” WINE TOUR
Complimentary pick-up/drop off from your accomodation in Oamaru. Tour starts at 10am + your Tour of the Waitaki Valley region begins! Midway through you will experience the “Bridge to Dam” V8 Jet Boat experience. Your driver will be Ronald Clearwater from Braided River Jet Boating. Departing from Kurow, this trip offers an opportunity to experience historic engineering at it’s finest – The Waitaki Dam, as well as braids, bird life + scenery. Lunch will follow + your Wine Tour will continue, visiting vineyards and places of interest along the way.

COMBO TOUR
SCENIC FLIGHT/”RUSTIC RAMBLE” WINE TOUR
Complimentary pick-up from your accomodation in Oamaru @ 9am. North Otago has a varied landscape + this flight with “Heliventures NZ Ltd”, will show you some of what our beautiful region has to offer. Take off from our base at Oamaru Airport + you will get a birds eye view of the rugged coastline, which leads to the quaint Oamaru Harbour + see our historical Oamaru stone buildings located in the Victorian Precinct from above. Enjoy a view of the rolling farm landscape + stunning Kakanui Range before returning back to base. Helicopter Flights are 15mins. From there, we will resume our “Rustic Ramble” Wine Tour up the Waitaki Valley.

Prefer not to drive? Want to see Aoraki/Mount Cook, Moeraki Boulders or just to Riverstone Restaurant for lunch + see Dot’s famous “Castle”. Options are endless, please make contact to discuss.
