Omori Bay (Turangi) Accommodation
9 x Thai resort style, centrally heated twin rooms with quality bedding. Situated above the main facility and overlooking the lake. Leading off a spacious atrium, with comfortable couches for afternoon relaxation. Plus downstairs accommodation and bathroom for those with disabilities.
We have a fully equipped commercial kitchen with dining facilities, complete with 3 long native Totara banquet tables. Hot water and mid-winter heating is provided entirely by 84 sq. metres of solar panels. Below the hall there is a secluded camping area, and a featured “Star” lawn, harmonizing nature’s energies.
Internal finished features include native tawa flooring throughout, kahikatea [white pine] wall sarking with floor length white, Indian cotton curtains.

Magnificent, not only for its prominent location looking out over Lake Taupo from its southwestern corner, but for the size of its main floor area, 300 sq.metres flowing out onto 200 sq. metre deck, with sweeping panoramic views over the lake from Mt. Tauhara over to the Kaimanawa ranges.
A solar powered, ecologically sensitive facility on 90 acres – an attractive mix of native bush streams and rolling pasture.

- 3 mins. to the Lake , swimming and boating off beautiful, sandy, Kuratau beach.

And, the home of WAI MAORI, river rafting and kayaking specialists, whose professionalism and local knowledge of the intricate and exciting waterways of the Central Plateau is unmatched.
- 20 minutes to the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor pursuits centre.
- 40 mins. to Whakapapa skifield, an elevation of 2,300 m above sea level, Ruapehu's premier ski area, with 17 lifts, 550 hectares of patrolled terrain, and an internationally staffed ski school and modern facilities.
- 15 minutes to the famed world-renowned Tongariro river, fly fishing doesn't get much better.
