About Falconer Lodge
We have named Falconer Lodge after the Falconer family, who built it in 1913, as a farm style home on a small holding, on the outskirts of Gore. All the outside and inside walls are constructed using local brick, in the villa style of the time.
Throughout 2013-2014 we have been re-invigorating the house, and we have put it to good use again. We have updated the rooms for today’s life style, while trying to retain some of the character, atmosphere and farm style living.
In front of our Lodge grow 2 large and very well furnished Monkey Puzzle (Araucaria aracana) Trees, planted approx 1914. A male and a female, so they are still producing viable seed. Interesting to note their differing shapes! Heritage listed of course.
Gore has good shopping, restaurants, swimming pool, sports grounds, golf course, Town & Country Club, fishing, bowls, parks and gardens and many more attractions
