We are the closest town (approx 3,000 pop) to Milford Sound, just a 2 hour drive.

Driving the Milford Road is a once in a lifetime experience, everywhere you look the scenery/views are amazing. Staying in Te Anau gives you that extra time to relax and enjoy your day in Milford Sound without having to think about doing a 4 hour drive to and from Queenstown. We are also just a short 15 minute drive to the start of a fabulous trip to Doubtful Sound - we have some of the most unforgettable scenery here in Fiordland.

Other activities here in Te Anau include Glow Worm Caves (2hr 15min return trip up Lake Te Anau) -Kayaking-Walking Tracks - fishing - golf (course overlooking Lake Te Anau) - Helicopter/Floatplane/Fixed Wing flights - Bike Hire - Quad Bikes - Horseriding and much more.

We also have a boutique Cinema here in town showing a local movie of Fiordland (Ata Whenua) it is a must see while you are here as this is the only place it shows on the big screen.

Te Anau is the closest lodging destination for trips and tours to Milford Sound / Doubtful Sound Cruises and the Glow Worm Caves. Our Breakfast

Breakfast is served in our guest dining room with views of the Murchison Mountains.

We provide a sumptuous gourmet breakfast buffet, emphasis on home-made and local produce. Home-made breads, jams, marmalade, local honey, dessert fruits, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, ham & cheese, cereals, juices, fresh brewed coffee, tea & herbal teas. Our speciality of mouth-watering pancakes with maple syrup or savoury with ham & cheese are a must. Organic berries (in season only).
