Cheap Holidays in New Zealand
Most Kiwis like to spend their holidays in New Zealand. It’s
so much easier to throw everything in the car and take off. Here’s some ideas
on how to have a low budget holiday.
The Christmas and New Year period is the busiest time for travellers, and a lot of prime accommodation properties are booked well in advance. On the other hand, some are lucky to find availability at holiday parks and other accommodation around New Zealand.
Holiday Parks provide great facilities and accommodation for families, couples and groups travelling together. For last minute bookings, you may have to settle for a tent site, but camping is fun!
Powered tent sites are ideal for those with kids as you can still ‘plug in’ which means you don’t lose all of the comforts from home.
If your lucky enough to find availability, budget cabins
provide a roof over your head at a cheap price. You usually have to share a communal
bathroom and kitchen, but that’s all part of the camping experience.
Holidays Parks in New Zealand are usually well equipped with playground, swimming pool, communal areas like BBQ & kitchen and open space for games and gatherings.
Self catering by bringing your own food will save you a heap of cash, and day trips to the beach and regional parks keep everyone amused for next to nothing.
Department of Conservation (DOC) campsites are great value, but don’t provide the facilities of a holiday park.

We are so lucky to have such an amazing country as our recreational playground which can be enjoyed on a budget. Which make’s me remember the old TV ad “don’t leave town till you’ve seen the country” – so true!
Bring on Summer!!
