Tongariro Lodge is New Zealand's most iconic trout fishing lodge. Situated on the banks of the legendary Tongariro River on the Southern shores of Lake Taupo.

Established in 1982 Tongariro Lodge provides a unique fishing lodge atmosphere and has an excellent international reputation for providing guests with intimate friendly service,the best of food and wine and private exclusive accommodation. .

Set on 22 acres of park like grounds, guests are accommodated in private and exclusive 1 to 3 bedroom chalets. An all weather tennis court, spa pool and heli-pad is provided for guest enjoyment.

Tongariro Lodge enjoys private access to large areas of wilderness close by.The lodge specialises in designing guests a personally guided outdoor experience tailored to the clients wishes and employs only the best and experienced guides, that provide an authentic feel for the local land, its people and way of life.

Catering for visiting trout fishermen is the Lodges specialty and Tongariro Lodge provides experienced, resident flyfishing guides, along with special access, by boat, helicopter and 4 wheel drive, to some of the best trout fishing in the world.
Being at the foot of the World Heritage, Tongariro National Park activities from the Lodge also include, New Zealand's most popular guided one day walk the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, guided heli-hiking and walks, guided white water rafting, guided mountain biking, heli-sightseeing, snow skiing, international golf courses, massage and hot pools.

Tongariro is the ideal holiday destination for trout fishermen, outdoor enthusiasts and family adventure alike.

Angler's Three Night Fly Fishing Package

Children's rate (for children 11 years old and under) is 50% of the room rate and the meal rate.
