Tairoa Lodge is situated on 6 acres, bordered by the Mangawhero river
and with spectacular views of Mt Ruapehu. All our bedrooms have their
own ensuite or private bathroom and under floor heating. Our large
open plan lounge/dining with a huge open fireplace, provides true
relaxed country comfort and ambience. The outdoor spa pool gives you
a chance to relax after a hard day before retiring to bed.

Lodge is 30 kms from Turoa ski field and other activities nearby
include mountain bike riding, 4x4 bikes, rafting, hiking, canoeing,
fishing and a 18 hole golf course on our doorstep. Alec has 30 years
of hunting experience, see our guided tour packages, choose the
one to suit your budget.
Children
are more than welcome and well catered for - from collecting the
eggs for breakfast and feeding the pet lamb to target shooting and
possum hunting. Fishing for trout or eels in the local rivers and
streams is a must for the kids. The most common comment we have
from children is "Can we come back here again?"
