Gumdiggers
Park & Ancient Buried Kauri Forest - A new attraction providing
a half hour guided tour into the everyday life of the early gumdiggers
in the Far North.
Cape
Reinga-Te Rerenga Wairua - A short walk leads to the lighthouse
and familiar sign post. Enjoy the spectacular views where the two
oceans meet - Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean. Known to the Maori as
Te Rerenga Wairua, Cape Reinga is the departure place
for the spirits of their recently deceased. While you are there
post a card from the top of New Zealand.
Rarawa Beach
- Take a stroll upon the white silica sands of Great Exhibition
Bay at Rarawa Beach.
Te Paki Sand
Dunes - For the adventurous there is the chance to toboggan
down the Te Paki sand dunes. Nature lovers will be fascinated by
the converging dune and wetland flora.
