LODGE is located on the confluence of the Waiau, Percival & Hanmer
Rivers in the beautiful Hanmer Springs area. We offer the Sportsman
a mixed bag of pursuits.
FLY
FISHING for Large Brown Trout in crystal clear mountain rivers.
Riverview Lodge also boasts of some of the best BIRD SHOOTING in
New Zealand with a variety of birds - Giant Canada Goose, Paradise,
Grey, Mallard and Spoonbill Ducks.
RIVERVIEW LODGE is located 80 miles north of Christchurch on the
confluence of the Waiau, Percival and Hanmer Rivers.
John
and Robin Gemmell have owned and opearted Riverview Lodge for the
last 20 years.
The
Lodge is 5 miles from Hanmer Springs, a quaint Alpine Village that
nestles under the mountains. The main attractions are the hot thermal
pools, beauty therapy, massages, and forest walks for non participants.
Clients
fly to Christchurch Airport where it is recommended that they pick
up a rental car for the 1 3/4 hour trip to Riverview. Transfer are
also available upon request.
RIVERVIEW
LODGE can accommodate 8 people. Guests reside in comfort with spectacular
mountain views, and close to the fishing and birds shooting.
