Forest, plays host to one of Rotorua's icon experiences mountain
biking..Rotorua will host two of the World's most prestigious mountain
bike events in 2006. The UCI Oceania Championships will be held
in March, followed by the UCI WORLD MOUNTAIN BIKE & TRIALS WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIPS in August.
Rotorua boasts possession of some of the best mountain bike trails
in the Southern Hemisphere, some would say the world, that has become
synonymous with the city.
The Whakarewarewa Mountain Bike Trails have made Rotorua, the mountain
bike MECCA of New Zealand, attracting thousands of people from all
over New Zealand, and the world.
Over 60km for pupose built mountain bike trails to explore.
These incomparable trails, wind and weave their way through a forest
of redwood, radiata, douglas fir, eucalyptus, and larch.
Beautiful native bush, towering trees, envelop riders. Stunning
views thru' gaps in the forest of lakes, and the looming bulk of
MT Tarawera, reward riders.
Within Whakarewarewa Forest, an extensive, and varied network of
trails offer riding for all levels of ability, from novice to expert,
child or adult.
Rolling beginner trails, fast flowing single track, to more technically
challenging cross country trailsl. There is something for everyone.

First left off State Highway 5 to Taupo. Just a five minute drive
south, from downtown Rotorua

Our bike fleet comprises quality mountain bikes, 27 speed with alloy
frame, disc brakes, and front suspension. Proffessionally maintained
THE TRAILS
Are bike only, purpose built specifically for mountain biking. Each
trail within the network has a name, and a skill level grading.
Directional markers help mountain bikers find the trail which best
suits their skill level. To ensure the trail network is popular
for people of all ages and abilities, new trails and changes to
existing trails are continually being implemented.
