century the Whanganui River was the link from Wanganui to northern areas. Wellington to Wanganui
involved travel by sea or rail and access to further north was by Riverboats to Taumaranui.

• Whanganui River Road Mail Tour. Monday to Friday.
  Travel the River Road with the Mailman as he delivers mail and supplies to the residents of the Whanganui River Valley.
• PRICE: $60.00 per person (7 days a week) includes morning tea. Group discounts available.
  Order a picnic lunch @ $12.00 per person or bring your own (there is no opportunity to purchase refreshments on the trip). A morning pick-up from your city accommodation at a time to be
  arranged –- returns mid to late afternoon.
• Canoe the Whanganui River with Whanganui Tours. Travel the River Road with the
  Mailman then canoe down. A fun safe canoeing experience.
• PRICE:

  Single canoe hire	$35 per day

  With a 7.30am pick up from your Wanganui accommodation we will travel through the historic Whanganui River Valley to Pipiriki where your fun canoeing experience begins. Canoe down from Pipiriki with easy to follow instructions. On completion of your canoe trip the Whanganui River Road Mail Coach will meet you and return to Wanganui.

• Canoe Party Transport: We will transport your party and canoes to any pick and drop off points between Wanganui and Taumaranui. Prices on application.
• Trampers Transport to and from all tracks in the area. Whanganui Tours offer a competitive reliable transport service to:

• ONE DAY, COACH AND CYCLE TOUR - Travel with Whanganui Tours to Jerusalem and cycle
  back down the river road. You will be met at the end of your cycle journey and returned to

• TWO DAY TOUR Coach, Cycle And Overnight Stay
  Day One: You will be collected from your accommodation in Wanganui at 7:30am and
  transported by the Whanganui River Road Mail Tour to Pipiriki where your cycle experience
  begins. Your luggage will be transported to the accommodation of your choice.

• Day Two: Continue your fun cycle journey to the Whanganui River Road end and be
