This charming holiday house accommodation is perfect for just a couple or for the whole family. The Cottage is spacious and modern with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. There is also a double pull out couch for the kids. Feel at home in the large comfortable lounge with the fire place to keep you cosy. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, fridge and microwave, should you wish to cook ......

LOCATION - Westhaven Retreat is located on the west cost of the tip of Golden Bay, in the South Island of New Zealand. The closest township is Collingwood and before Takaka. This region is well known for its magnificent beauty and for its tourist attractions, such as the famous Heaphy Track, Abel Tasman National Park, Farewell Spit safari tours, Aorere gold fields, Waikoropupu Springs, Kahurangi National Park, the limestone caves, pottery and craft outlets.
Combined with a warm and sunny climate, this makes it a superb recreation and holiday area. The ' Westhaven' Farm is a 1000 Acres Peninsula with magnificent natural beauty, privately owned and located on the Northwest Coast between Cape Farewell and the Kahurangi National Park.
THE BEACHES - Recharge your batteries in beautiful surroundings and stroll along on the endless secluded beaches. Access is possible by car or choose one of the many different walks to the various beaches. The Estuary is a protected reserve and home of many birds and other rare wildlife. We have many visitors here, ranging from seals and dolphins to the very naughty kea.
WALKING TRACKS - Westhaven has many different hiking opportunities for you. Each track is unique and different. Some lead to special scenic view points, others wind through beautiful rock formations. The Nikau forest walk is another very special and favourite track. Then there is also a very easy walk to the highest hill of Westhaven which rewards you with an amazing 360-degree view.
FISHING - All year round you can catch the popular game fish called Kahawai here, it's delicious smoked with New Zealands native Manuka tree. In the warm summer months you will catch Bream and Snapper. The lucky ones can catch the big Trevally and beautiful and very tasty Gurnard.
NEARBY ACTIVITIES - We can arrange nearby horse riding, kayaking and caving. The Farewell Spit tours are also very popular in this region.Recommended is also a drive to the end of the coastal road leading to the Anatori river, another beautiful spot of the region.
