Located in the Central North Island of New Zealand,  we are situated on the shores of majestic Lake Taupo, overlooking the mountains of Tongariro National Park. Taupo Tandem Skydiving is the original tandem skydiving operation in New Zealand and is currently the largest in the world.  We operate daily, year round (weather permitting) and have the capacity to skydive over 100 tandem passengers per day.

Your journey begins with a scenic plane above the Central Plateau, taking in views of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest lake.  Your excitement climbs with the altitude.  Exiting the plane at 15,000 feet with over one minute in freefall, you experience the exhilaration of free falling at 200 kilometres per hour.

A spectacular parachute ride concludes the adventure with views of awe-inspiring Lake Taupo and the snow capped volcanoes of Tongariro National Park.

Our operation is approved by the New Zealand Parachute Federation (NZPF) and our aircraft is maintained in accordance with the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).  Taupo Tandem Skydiving adheres to strict standards ensuring customer and employee safety.
