Takatu Lodge is a 5 Star lodge, both architectural and contemporary in style using natural wood, stone and marble to complement its surroundings. Takatu Lodge has been awarded the Most Outstanding Accommodation Experience for 2009 and 2010 consecutively for the Rodney/Matakana Coast/North Auckland Region, sponsored by Tourism Auckland.

Accommodation
Relax in one of our especially designed lodge suites. Areas are spacious and optimise the spectacular surrounding views and countryside.
Each suite caters for ultimate privacy, elegance and comfort where optimising nature and natural products is essential.
Four luxurious and exclusive suites, each with their own terrace and individual outlook. Attention to detail and individual needs are anticipated so unwind in a peaceful setting.
Suites offer
- Super-king beds or 2 king-single beds. All bed linen is of natural fibre, with 100% Egyptian cotton (500-thread) and wool.
- Generous-sized ensuites. Soak in a double bath using hand-crafted bath crystals and candles while overlooking gardens, vines and out to the ocean.
- Beautiful European double wash basins, fittings and separate marble and glass showers were considered with your comfort in mind.
- Heated marble floors and mirrors.
- Accessories (shampoo, conditioner, etc) using natural products and hairdryers are also included.
- Exquisite bathrobes.
- Broadband computer outlets, CD stations in every room and LCD TV on request.
- Yoga mats, fruit juice, fresh ground coffee, tea (including organic & herbal), fruit and other provisions are complimentary.

Takatu Wines & Vineyard
Takatu Vineyard is situated on a warm north facing hillside 5 minutes from Matakana Village. It has the ideal aspect as it is sheltered from the prevailing cool south-westerly winds and the summer heat is moderated by a gently sea breeze from the nearby Pacific Ocean.
Takatu Vineyard produces renowned award winning wines which are sold on premise and in many select New Zealand, Australian & UK restaurants.
Each vine is hand tended with individual care and attention and the harvest hand picked. This defines our expression fruit of the vine work of human hands.
