Spectacular helicopter rides with Aerius Helicopters round off a great ‘adventure package’. The helicopter sets off from our river setting to take you on an unforgettable 12 minute trip of discovery as you fly over the majestic patchwork quilt of kiwifruit orchards to the coast and back to Spring Loaded. Aerius Helicopters also has a range of flights available from Kiwi 360 and the Tauranga airport including landing you on the dormant volcano of Tuhua (Mayor Island), to spend the day exploring this wildlife refuge with its own marine reserve. The tour takes in the Devils Staircase, where local Maori defended the island against attacking tribes.
