With a unit to meet your every need, we are 2-minute's walk to the bathing and surfing beach, shop, cafe/bar, takeaway shop, and 30 minute bush walk. Wildlife surrounds us from penguins to seals and nearby more beaches with their own eco-environment and magnificent waterfalls.

We are situated at 11 Rata Street, Kaka Point, South Otago, New Zealand and only one hour from Dunedin Airport. We are 10 to 15 minute's drive to several restaurants.

Nugget Point & Catlins Tours

You are welcome to join us on our regular Twilight Tours which leave the motel 2 hours before sunset. Our Twilight Tours run all year round.

The Nugget oint Catlins Twilight Tours encompass Kaka Point and Nugget Point and includes a visit to the penguin colony at Roaring Bay and the Light House at Nugget Point.

Over a duration of approximately 2½ hours you will to see seals, penguins and wildlife all in their natural habitat. Sea lions are also spotted at various times.

We offer 4 fabulous tours to choose from:

Twilight tour operates every night, approx 2-hours before sunset to the light house at Nugget Point and pengiun colony at Roaring Bay.
1-day tour from Dunedin, Bluff or Invercargill and travel through the Catlins to Kaka Point staying 1 night in the motels.
2-day tour the same as the 1-day tour - take in Jacks Blowhole etc.
5-day tour, day 1 & Twilight Tour, day 2 & 3 Catlins, day 4 Dunedin, day 5 Central Otago and Gold Trail.
