Monavale Blueberries & Cafe Irresistiblue is centrally located in the Waikato, only 10 minutes from Cambridge and 15 minutes from Te Awamutu and Hamilton Airport. The orchard and cafe is conveniently signposted off the Cambridge-Te Awamutu Road.

WAIKATO BLUEBERRY ORCHARD
Monavale Blueberries is family owned and operated and is New Zealand’s largest BioGro certified organic blueberry orchard with 20 hectares of fully certified crop.  They have been growing organic blueberries since 1985.  The orchard is situated in the heart of the Waikato, on the Moanatuatua Plains, with views to Pirongia, Maungatautari and Kakepuku Mountains.

Monavale Blueberries passion is growing the sweetest, tastiest blueberries, while nurturing the soil and environment to support future generations.  Healthy, yummy organic blueberries – they’re simply IrresistiBLUE!

CAFE IrresistiBLUE, CAMBRIDGE
Monavale Blueberries have recently opened an award winning country cafe on their orchard – Cafe IrresistiBLUE.  The cafe is open YEAR ROUND, Wednesday – Sunday, 9am-4.30pm.  The cafe seats 50 and is also available for special functions.  Come and enjoy delicious food, great drinks and fantastic views over the orchard and beyond.  The focus of the cafe is on their delicious organic blueberries and organic blueberry products, as well as other products sourced organically or locally or both, where possible.  There are ice-creams and anti-pasto platters for family or group get-togethers, as well as a delicious cabinet and all-day menu.  The cafe is fully licensed and you can enjoy a range of local and organic beer and wine. 

There is also an Orchard Shop on site where you can purchases a delicious range of organic blueberry products.

ORCHARD TOURS
Monavale Blueberries offer orchard tours from October through to March.  On the 30-45 minute guided walking tour you will  learn about the history of Monavale Blueberries, the principles of organic blueberry growing and see how different varieties grow.  You will also be able to see blueberry bushes up close and learn how blueberries get from the bush to the market. Bookings are essential. 

PICK YOUR OWN BLUEBERRIES
During the months of February and March the orchard also offers Pick Your Own (PYO) fresh organic blueberries.  Monavale Blueberries’ blueberries have no chemicals, no pesticides, no herbicides, and no insecticides so you can be sure you are picking delicious, nutritious and healthy berries!  Afterwards you can enjoy delicious food, drinks and ice-creams from the orchard cafe.  Makes for a great family outing.
