Highride Adventures is locally owned and operated and offers fun, views and memorable experiences by horseback and motorbike in challenging and inspiring locations. We are based in the Te Anau basin on a working 700 acre sheep, deer and cattle farm where we run our horse treks. Our quad bike tours run on a 2500 acre property of rough back country that covers some LOTR territory, overlooking Lake Te Anau and surrounds. Our horse treks and quad bike tours run at the same time (although in different areas) so if your party is split in decision, High Ride is the perfect solution!

Horse Treks
A fantastic way to experience a 700 acre working deer, sheep and cattle farm on a scenic trek with wonderful views out along the mountains and Fiordland's Upukerora River. Experience the different landscapes that form our beautiful farmland and trek over a wide variety of terrain from farmland, swamps, with river crossings beside native beech forest. We cater for all levels of ability in small groups led by experienced guides.
- Duration 3.5 hours inc light refreshments departs at 9am and 4pm.
- Min age 10yrs unless experienced. Price: $95 per person.
- Duration 2 hours departs at 1pm.
- Min age 6 years. Price: $80 per person.

Quad Bikes
An exhilarating and challenging guided trip that’s fun for everyone. Caters for all skill levels as we explore Te Anau’s rugged back blocks with breathtaking views over Lake Te Anau and the surrounding country. Drive over the same terrain where part of Lord of the Rings was filmed
before looping back round through the scrub, bush, creeks and lakes that form our picturesque
landscapes.
- Duration 3.5 hours inc wet weather and safety gear, light refreshments departs at 9am and 4pm.
- Min age 16yrs unless experienced then at guide’s discretion.
- Price: $155 per person.
- Warm clothing is essential and a free shuttle service is available from Te Anau.
