Happy Valley Adventures - your first stop for fun!On Cable Bay Road just fifteen minutes north of Nelson, New Zealand, hosts Keith and Jill and their friendly team of staff are keen to share their 1600 acre farm and forest paradise with you. You may only have an hour or two or maybe you want to make a day of it. Either way you'll have an award-winning outdoor kiwi experience with Happy Valley Adventures.
Activities
4 Wheelin Fun - Our four wheel bike rides are an unforgettable eco experience where you travel though farmland into the quiet splendour of a thousand acre native forest, and enjoy superb coastal views on the same ride. Riders need to be at least 16 years of age - but anyone can go on tour as a passenger, either on the back of a friend's quadbike or with the guide.
Fly The Skywire - The World's longest flying fox adventure - in Nelson! The Skywire is the first of its kind - and it's our own invention! Set high on forest hills above the sea and river valleys this is an amazing innovation and a superb eco ride. You soar like a bird for over 3km, up to 150m above beautiful native forest. You experience high speeds mixed with absolute quiet while admiring the 1000 shades of green below.
Paintball at Happy Valley - We operate the largest paintball theme park in Nelson. The recognised leader in corporate paintball events, we also provide first class entertainment to the general public. Our paintballing sites offer a huge variety of specially themed paintball action, featuring forts, villages, trenches, creeks and much more. Happy Valley takes every necessary measure to ensure each individual's personal safety. We follow government guidelines in relation to health and safety for all visitors to our paintballing sites.
The Tour of Discovery - something a little more leisurely...
Not everyone wants adrenaline adventures! At Happy Valley we have a fantastic location with 1600 acres of farm and forest paradise. We have put together a "Tour of Discovery" so that everyone regardless of age, interest and fitness can enjoy the stunning scenary and views.
Guided Horse Treks at Happy Valley Adventures
If flying through the air or quadbikes are not your thing - or if you fancy combining either with something more relaxing - then you can explore Happy Valley on horseback with our guided horse trek opportunities. We have a range of treks we can take you on to suit your level of ability, and your guide will ensure that your horse is suitable for you to ride.
Large groups at Happy Valley Adventures - We have a superb set-up for looking after large groups at Happy Valley, and regularly entertain corporate events, clubs, birthday parties, stag parties and groups with a variety of activities.
Catering - We can cater for and seat groups of up to 150 people in one sitting. Ask about our range of BBQ options.
Activities - Typical group activities can include quadbiking, the Skywire, paintball, the Argo, bush walks - or any combination of all of these! We will work with you to put together the best itinerary for the day to suit your group and the amount of time you have available. Depending on numbers you may qualify for a group discount so please be sure to ask. QUADBIKE TOURS
Farm Forest Ride (allow 1 to 1.5 hrs) $80.00 per rider; $20.00 per passenger. Children $1.00 per year of age to 16 years (e.g. 8 years old = $8.00)
Bayview Circuit (allow 2.5 hrs) $110.00 per rider $30.00 per passenger. Children $2.00 per year of age to 16 years (e.g. 8 years old = $16.00)
Bluehill Special (allow 3 hours) $150.00 per rider - this ride is for experienced riders only, no passengers.
Guided Horse Treks
- 1hr tour = $70 per rider
- 2.5hr tour = $100 per rider
- 3+hr tour = $130 per rider
Skywire Flying-fox (allow 1 hour)
Adults - 1 rider = $85 | 2 riders = $75 each | 3 or more riders = $70 eachChildren (up to 16 years) $55, 2 or more $50 each

Paintball
Games take from 1-3 hrs - have a great challenge with your friends on our Village playing field.
From $25 per player including all equipment and first 50 paintballs.
Extra paintballs available during the game: $10 for 50, or $20 for 150.
Other Activities
Van ride to the Skywire and/or Tree Tops cafe - $10 per adult; $5 per child (refundable if the Skywire is ridden)
Café Options - Base Café (fully licensed) is open daily with a variety of cooked food available from the menu, as well as hot and cold drinks
We can also provide BBQ's for groups.
BBQ menus (Minimum numbers apply)
Option 1: Starter platters, meat patties, sausages, chicken kebabs, pork riblets, bread, fresh salads, fruit platters and pavlova - $35 per person.
Option 2: Meat patties, sausages, chicken kebabs, pork riblets, bread and salad selection - $20 per person
Tree-Tops Café (at the Skywire site) - Open as required. Additional cost of transport to Tree-Tops Café - $10 per person (group rates apply)
