Glacier Valley Eco Tours hold a Department of Conservation license to operate guided tours in the South Westland World Heritage area. We provide guests with quality, informative, friendly and relaxed eco-style tours.
Our tours are especially designed for clients who want to learn about the wonders of this incredible natural environment. We can tailor-make tours to suit individuals, couples, family groups and tour parties.
Remember: South Westland is a rainforest setting and at times the climate can be very wet. Don't let the rain keep you indoors. We provide good quality raincoats, large umbrellas and hot drinks and snacks on all our tours. You will be surprised how much fun it is out in the rain!

Glacier Shuttle $12.50 Return
Regular shuttle service to the Glacier car park and all walking tracks in Franz Josef.
Shuttles run every 2 hours. Bookings essential to guarantee pick-up.

Coach Passengers
If you are getting to Franz Josef by one of the coach services and only have one night in town, contact us regarding the option of evening tours. During the summer season we have a 2 - 2½ hour Eco Tour which gets you up to the glacier and back to the village in time for dinner or a little shopping. Departure time 5.30 pm.
