Fox Glacier is New Zealand's largest commercially guided glacier, situated in Glacier Country, on the West Coast of the South Island, only 21 km's south of Franz Josef.
Our friendly and professional guides will take you on a glacier trip of a life time. Your guide will remain with you for the entire trip entertaining and educating you about the fascinating Fox Glacier, part of the Westland National Park, a World Heritage Area.

Fox Trot - Half Day Fox Glacier Walk: Moderate to good fitness and agility is required. Involves steady, well-graded uphill walking for 45 minutes. Reporting Time: 8.35am and 1.35pm (all year), 9.35am and 2.35pm (on demand in summer). Duration: 4 - 4.5 hours. Cost (inc GST, 2011/2012): Adult $109, Child $89, Family: $299 (2 adults, 2 children). Cost includes: Guide, ground transport, boots and socks, crampons, raincoat, waterproof over trousers, alpenstock.
The Nimble Fox: All Day Fox Glacier Walk: Good level of fitness and agility required. Reporting Time: 9.10am (all year), 10.10am (on demand in summer). Duration: 6 - 7 Hours.Cost (inc GST, 2011/2012): Adult $159. Cost includes: Guide, ground transport, leather boots and socks, crampons, raincoat, waterproof over trousers, alpenstock, woollen hat and mittens (in winter months).
Flying Fox: Fox Glacier Heli Hike: Some fitness and agility is required. Reporting Time: 8.50am and 11.50am (all year), 2.50pm (on demand in summer). Duration: 4 Hours.Cost (2011/2012): Adult $399. Cost includes: Two helicopter flights, guide, ground transport, leather boots, socks, crampons.
Fox It Up: Ice Climbing Adventure: Good level of fitness and agility required. No previous experience is necessary. Reporting Time: 8.00am (all year). Duration: 8-9 hours.Cost (inc GST, 2011/2012): Adult $259. Cost includes: Guide, transport, modern technical and safety equipment, climbing boots and socks, special backpacks, raincoats, waterproof over trousers, hat and gloves.
Fox Trail: Terminal Face Walk: Suitable for almost anyone. Reporting Time: 4.50pm (summer), 2.20pm (winter). Duration: 2 Hours.Cost (inc GST, 2011/2012): Adult $49, Child $35. Cost includes: Guide, ground transport, leather boots and socks, raincoat (if required).
Browne Fox: Chancellor Dome Heli-Trek: A good level of fitness and agility is required. No prior mountaineering experience is necessary. Reporting Time: 7.45am (all year). Duration: 8-9 hours.Cost (inc GST, 2011/2012): Adult $619. Cost includes: Two helicopter flights, guide, ground transport, technical equipment, boots and socks, raincoat, waterproof over trousers, gloves, hats and packs if required.
