Compass Charters' diverse fleet consists of fully equipped and well-maintained vessels of Runabouts, Yachts, Launches and Catamarans. Whether you want a Bareboat or Skippered charter there will be a vessel to suit you. If you need help choosing which vessel to charter just contact our crew and we will be happy to help you. The vessels are available for charter all year round. We can offer boating tuition if required or a skipper onboard to guide you through this cruising paradise.

Charter Seasons
- Peak : December 20th until last day of Feb, Easter Holidays and Anzac Day
- Shoulder - Spring : Start of Labour Weekend to December 19th
- Shoulder -Autumn : March 1st to May 1st excluding Easter Holidays
- Economy : May 1 to beginning of Labour Weekend
- Xmas/New Year period: Dec 24th until the 8th of Jan.
Note : Minimum of a 5 day booking required for the New Year period, 3 days in Peak Season and Labour Weekend & 4 days for Easter weekend.

Fuel and LPG used is an extra cost on all vessels.
*All skippered vessels include a skipper for your charter duration.The exception is 3 hrs of fuel per day is included with the daily rates for Andromeda. Anything above 3 hrs motoring on Andromeda is an extra charge and this will come out of your charter bond.

All extras: Dive equipment hire on request, please let us know in advance. Bait, tackle and Ice are available at our Compass Charters Base in the marina. All Compass Charters clients get 10% off fishing bait and tackle. Call us to arrange anything else you may need.
Starter Packs: We have starter packs available of a "Basic pack" and a "Deluxe pack" for two people. Additional persons are $5.00 for the Basic pack and $7.50 for the Deluxe pack. Please let us know at time of booking which option you would like and for how many people.
Included in the "Basic pack" is,
- Coffee, tea and sugar starter kits
- Dishwashing liquid, Handy Andy, Disinfectant and a General Spray Cleaner
- 2 rolls of toilet paper
- Salt and pepper
- 3 rubbish bags
- Hand soap and hand towels
- T-Towels and fishing towels/rags

The "Deluxe Pack" includes,
- All of the above
- A bottle of Local Sauvignon Blanc
- 1/2 Doz Eggs, 200g Bacon, 1l milk, a Loaf of bread and a small Margarine
Onboard Accommodation*: For $22.50 per person this enables you to stay onboard your boat in its berth in the marina for the night before your charter, which starts at 0900 the next morning. Arrive here at the base between 1600 - 1700, once the paperwork is complete, we'll take you down to the boat for your safety briefing (starting no later than 1730). The briefings can take from 1.25hrs to 2.5hrs to complete as we give full safety and systems briefings for each vessel. After which you and your crew can settle into the vessel for the evening and really familiarise yourself with all the vessels buttons, switches and systems. You are then free to leave the marina first thing the next morning. There are 2 restaurants and the Waikawa Boating Club here in the marina only a short walk away.
Provisioning Fee: There will be a 10% on top of provisioning/food costs for this service. Please note that there is a minimum fee of $25.00.
Relocation Fee: Vessel relocations to/from Pelorus/Havelock for clients pre or post charter. Rate $365.00 for the skipper plus travel costs for skipper to destination by road. Fuel is an additional cost, we will need to top up the fuel tanks after your charter and after the boat has been relocated. Relocations to other places also available so please enquire.
Payment: We accept Visa/Mastercard/Eftpos/Cheque and Cash. You can also choose as a payment option to Direct Credit Compass Charters Ltd bank account and this can be done very quickly and securely via internet banking. Please call us for bank account details or for any assistance. Charter balances need to be paid in full before charter commencement.
Security Bond: A bond is payable at charter commencement, we accept Visa/Mastercard and Bank Cheques. With no damage, refundable within 20 days of charter completion less cost of fuel used & conditions per Charter Booking Form. Bond amounts: Self-drive (Bareboat) charters for all vessels: $2500; Panache Cat and Jumelle are $4500. Skippered Charters have a Fuel/Service bond of between $1000.00 and $3000.00 depending on vessel and requirements.
