'Braemar' is a working station 63,000 acres, farming Perendale sheep, beef cattle, deer and Forestry. Farm, rolling tussock & mountainous country up to 8,500ft. Dry air, hot summers and cold, crisp winters, beautiful pure spring water from all taps. Vast and spectacular views of NZ's highest mountain - Mt Cook, Southern Alps, as well as Lake Pukaki.

The lake offers good trout fishing, boating, endless picnic spots and beach to explore. 'Golf Cross', 9 goal course at Braemar, tramping, mountain biking, climbing, helicopter scenic flights at gate. 1 hour's travel to Hermitage, Mt Cook. 20 mins to salmon farm. 30 mins to Lake Tekapo, 35 mins to Twizel (fuel, supermarket etc). A photographer and artists' paradise. View Heritage Rose Garden at Homestead. Photography, art and cards available and sometimes plants. Comments frequently state 'peace and tranquillity' in the visitors book.
