Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Beach Lodge comprises a series of separate self-contained chalets sited directly above Coopers Beach. The waves breaking on the shore create a constant soothing sound and beachcombing is a relaxing pursuit. Native Pohutukawa trees line the beach, their red blossoms in December giving them the name "New Zealand Christmas Trees".
The two-storey chalets are architecturally designed using native timbers, each kitchen and bathroom in solid rimu. Double-doored showers are a feature of the bathrooms. Total privacy is ensured with double French doors opening on to private decking surrounded by an attractive garden.
