THE GRAND TRAVERSE ex LAKE TEKAPO or FRANZ JOSEF

The Grand Traverse is an award-winning flight-seeing experience of Aoraki Mt Cook and Glaciers.  This magnificent 50 minute flight encompasses over 200kms of New Zealand’s most breathtaking scenery, including Tasman, Franz Josef and Fox Glacier and two World Heritage National Parks – Aoraki Mount Cook and Westland Tai Poutini. 

The aircraft operated by Air Safaris are ideal for New Zealand’s conditions, offering a window seat for every passenger and have wings-above to ensure unobstructed viewing below.  Your friendly pilot will provide knowledgeable and entertaining commentary while you sit back, relax and soak up the incredible views!

DEPARTURE DAYS - Air Safaris flights operate every day excluding Christmas Day, weather dependant
DEPARTURE TIME - Flights operate hourly between the hours of 9am – 4pm dependant on weather conditions.
DURATION - The ‘Grand Traverse’ is approx 50 minutes flying time – allow 1 hour total duration
TRANSFER INFORMATION - A large parking area is available at the Airport for travellers with their own transport.  A pick-up can be organised from our Air Safaris office in the township or from your accommodation within the township. Please advise at time of confirmation.
