These unique and exclusive tours departs Rotorua at 8.00am and 1.00pm daily. Initially passing through the districts agricultural belt, before then entering the largest man made exotic forest in the southern hemisphere (Kaingaroa) to arrive at the base of the 11 Rhyolitic dome volcanoes that make up "The Tarawera Volcanic Complex".

A short 4WD journey through regenerating New Zealand native forest will bring your 4WD out at an elevation of 3000ft and the true beginning of your Guided Volcanic Hiking Adventure.

Depending on weather conditions, clothing and fitness levels, your experienced Guide will then select a walk option that will best suit you and in doing so ensuring your safety, enjoyment and comfort, should that be the challenge of standing on the mountains summit, experiencing the thrill of the scree, hiking the main crater floor or simply strolling the crater edge.
