History
of the Mokena Restaurant & Spa Hotel
Mokena Restaurant is situated inside a class one historic places
trust building. The building was constructed about 1880 and was
bought and transported by bullock train and skids in 1920 to it's
present position. The restaurant has been in operation since approximately
1977.
