Self-contained
Makarora Homestead is a large 2 storey house. The private sunny
deck leads into a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/living area
with a large logburner & abundant supply of wood. The sunny
conservatory is a favourite place to relax with a book or play the
fooseball game. With a fully equipped kitchen guests can create
any culinary delight they can imagine or use the gas barbeque on
the deck. With linen supplied guests only need to bring their food,
to enjoy their mountain haven. And for those not in the mood to
cook try out the local restaurant/bar which is a delightful stroll
from the Homestead.
Bed & Breakfast
These 2 new detached bedrooms have ensuite bathroom and tea/coffee
facilities. A continental breakfast basket is supplied in the room
to enable guests to breakfast at leisure on the verandah overlooking
the surrounding deer farm & spectacular mountain views.
Activities
Every 2 years Warbirds takes place in Wanaka... get out of the crazyness
that Wanaka becomes and stay in the peace that is Makarora...

National Park, heli-skiing plus much more!
