When
you arrive at the Leigh Fishing Lodge you will be greeted by your
hosts Keith and Lynn. Your accommodation comprises of two chalets
one with ensuite, one double story chalet with double and single
bed upstairs with adjoining bathroom, double bed downstairs, great
for the family. The other luxury chalet includes a double and single
bed with a fold down double bed couch all at a very affordable price.
There is also a double room with a double bed and a single bed.
A dorm with four single beds ideal for the getaway fishing weekends.

During
your stay you will have full use of the communal kitchen and BBQ
area which is under cover and includes tea and coffee making facilities.
For your entertainment there is also a pool table, dart board and
many great fishing stories from your hosts. After a successful fishing
trip you can prepare your catch to your liking for a night’s
meal. While you are staying you have the full use of the fish cleaning
facilities and smoke house.
Charters for fishing and diving can be organized on your request
with local operators, as is the hiring of fishing rods and gear.
If you wish, a 100 meter walk to the Leigh wharf will provide you
with great family fishing and live bait fishing. The Leigh harbor
also provides some great rock fishing and some of New Zealand's
most spectacular coastal bush walks, all within five minutes of
the lodge. Within a five minute drive you can also explore the world
renowned Goat Island marine reserve; which has awesome snorkeling,
diving, picnicking areas and more beautiful coastal walks.
Leigh
village only three minutes walk from the lodge, has a variety of
local shops for general needs including: cafes, bars and great takeaways.
All
