Traditional Camping on the shores of Lake Wanaka
Enjoy a traditional New Zealand camping experience with spectacular views over Lake Wanaka and the mountains beyond. Although only six kilometres from Lake Wanaka town centre, its secluded setting and natural surroundings give Lake Outlet Holiday Park a feeling of remoteness and tranquility that is second to none.

Natural lakeside camping/campervan experience
The campground has been carefully designed to give visitors the most comfortable camping experience possible without detracting from the natural beauty of the area. Native kanuka bushes separate the campsites giving privacy, shade and shelter, the lake is a stone’s through away and there is mountain biking, hiking and world-renowned fishing on the doorstep.

Close to all that the Lake Wanaka region has to offer
On the edge of a pristine alpine lake, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Mount Aspiring National Park, Lake Wanaka is the ideal destination for outdoor adventures and soothing relaxation, whatever the time of year and Lake Outlet Holiday Park is the ideal base to explore the region.

Campervan powered sites, tent sites & cabins
Lake Wanaka Outlet Motor Camp has all the facilities for Campervans with powered sites, non powered sites for tenting or cabins. There is also a cottage available to rent.

Accommodation & Campground Facilities

  • For Campervans and tents - Campervans have a choice of over 60 spacious powered sites and there are 140 generous-sized tent sites set among the kanuka trees.
  • Luxury Tents available to hire - For the ultimate camping experience check out the park’s three-room luxury tents. Fully kitted out with beds, kitchen equipment, BBQ and even outdoor furniture, they take camping to a whole new level.
  • Bush Cabins - Individual wooden bush cabins complete the accommodation options at Lake Outlet Holiday Park. Sleeping up to four, they are ideal for families or couples.
  • Our Cottage Accommodation - For those looking for a fully self-contained holiday home, the two bedroom Cottage sleeps six and includes all cooking equipment as well as a log burner for those cooler evenings. Fantastic holiday accommodation.
  • Traditional Camp Sites - Tuck your tent amongst the Kanuka bushes and enjoy privacy not often available at most other campgrounds
