Marton is situated 2 hours from Wellington, 2 hours from Taupo, 30 minutes Palmerston North, 30 minutes from Wanganui.

HOLLY FARM is an award winning farm owned by David and Maureen Smith. The main farming enterprise is the breeding of stud Romney sheep and also finishing cattle, cropping and forestry.

  • Guests can be picked up from Marton or main road.
  • Demonstrations of sheep shearing and sheep dogs working are also possible.

The farm is 850 acres of Rangitikei hill country at an altitude of 360 metres with spectacular views from Mt. Ruapehu to Mt. Taranaki to the South Island. Beautiful reserves of native bush with some fine examples of Rata trees are scattered throughout the farm.
