The Lion,
The Witch & The Wardrobe - Departing the HELiPRO Helicentre
we fly west over the Canterbury Plains on track to the remote Southern
Alps. Flying through the spectacular Waimakariri Gorge we enjoy
a breathtaking flight through this world-renowned river canyon,
gateway to the South Island’s Main Divide. Passing the canyon
we continue on to land at Flock Hill Station, one of the major filming
locations for The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe movie. Here you
will see the Witches Mound, Chariot’s Run, Aslan’s Rock
and the Battlefield. Experience the scenery that provided backdrop
to the famous movie scene known as “The Flight of the Phoenix’.
Upon completion
of your Flock Hill visit re-board your helicopter for a beautiful
flight over the Ashley River and Lee’s Valley on track to our
HELiPRO Helicentre.
