Where else can you catch a Rainbow Trout from your front lawn? Waiteti Lakeside Lodge and “The Great Kiwi Bach” of course!

Situated on the beautiful Waiteti Stream and the shores of Lake Rotorua, sits this 1930’s character cottage built in solid heart Rimu. Newly restored inside and out this cottage is tastefully decorated to retain all the old features of a time gone by.

Self-contained and fully furnished with separate entrances, The Great Kiwi Bach can sleep up to 8 people as it can be let as two separate cottages or for one large group, each having two bedrooms, lounge, TV, bathroom and kitchenette. A cot can be supplied for babies by arrangement.

The Great Kiwi Bach has fantastic views of Lake Rotorua, mountains, city and country from the open decks out the front, and equally inviting is the rear deck to relax with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

A truly unique escape on the shores of Lake Rotorua and the mouth of Waiteti Trout Stream.

The Travellers Rest - North End - The “Traveller’s Rest” is on the Northern end of the Bach building which means it can be opened out into the adjoining “Angler’s Rest” Bach at its Southern end. Great for when you need some extra room to accommodate a group of guests.

The “Traveller’s Rest” is fully self-contained and fully furnished including a television and comfortable sofa. The unit is equipped with a kitchenette with microwave, cooking hob, fridge, toaster, jug and cooking utensils – everything you need to rustle up a home cooked meal after sightseeing or big day out fishing.

Other facilities for this bach include a television, clothes line, toilet and shower facilities, safe parking, fridge/freezer, cooking hob, heating, electric blanket, dining table, wireless internet access, clothes horse, toiletries, torch and tea and coffee supplies. Bed linen and fresh towels are supplied for your comfort and for a small fee a laundry service is available to you during your stay. A cot can be supplied for babies by arrangement.
