Alpine Kayak
Guides, offer fun, scenic and safe kayaking trips on local Wanaka
Rivers from October to April. Experience first hand the thrill of
kayaking from a relaxed introduction to a full-on day of paddling.
Alpine Kayak Guides can give you what you want. Our experienced
guides will show you the wonders of this spectacular region and
you will come away with an experience that is altogether unforgettable.
We use "freedom"
sit-on-top kayaks. This is unique to Alpine kayak guides & what
we consider to be a huge leap forward in beginner/intermediate kayaking.
These boats are comfortable, fun & allow you to achieve much
more skill in a shorter amount of time. Instead of minutes to get
back in you kayak it's now seconds. We can have you surfing waves,
boofing through rapids & even handstands on your boat on a half
day trip! These boat perform as ordinary kayaks would & are
even capable of rolling (if you can).
Alpine Kayak
Guides offer a range of white water kayaking trips on Grade 2+ rivers
in the Wanaka region. We supply all the necessary equipment (including
our fleet of Bliss-stick boats) and instruction from qualified guides
for an enjoyable day of learning and adventure.

Clutha Classic
(half day). Departure time 8:30am & 2:00pm
This is a great trip for everyone - even first timers! Take in the
awesome views and get to run some thrilling Grade 2 rapids. Great
for those with only a limited time but still want to feel the thrill
of getting into kayaking.
Duration: 4-5 hours

Big Day Out
(full day). Departure time 9:00am
A 23km big river journey. From the Wanaka outlet to the Luggate
red bridge. This trip has it all & really is a big day out!
Amazing guides,stunning river & memories to last a lifetime.
No Experience necessary. A yummy picnic lunch included.
Duration: As long as you can last! 8hrs+

courses & rolling lessons in our pool at HQ.
