Kiwi
Encounter - Conservation in Action
Opening
March 2004, a New Zealand first, Kiwi Encounter is a unique Kiwi
conservation centre where visitors will be privileged to view "conservation
in action" as experienced, specialist staff work with Kiwi
in rooms dedicated to egg preparation, incubation, hatching and
raising of the Kiwi chicks. Fabulous static displays will create
understanding of the complexities of these distinctive birds, their
current plight in the wild of New Zealand and how they have survived
for so many million years. Reservations are essential.
